About These Terms

These terms apply when you use Relay (relayresume.com), an independently operated service that tailors resumes to specific job descriptions. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. How we handle your personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.

Who Can Use Relay

Relay is offered to users in the United States. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Your Account

Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you should tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed it.

Your Content

You keep ownership of everything you put into Relay: your profile, resumes, job descriptions, files and notes. You give us permission to store and process that content, including sending it to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy, only as needed to run the service for you. Only submit content you have the right to use, and don't upload other people's personal information without their permission.

AI-Generated Output

Relay uses AI models to rewrite and score resumes. The output can contain mistakes, omissions or wording you would not use. Review everything before you send it to an employer, and make sure it accurately describes your own experience — you are responsible for what you submit.

ATS scores shown in Relay are our own estimates of how well a resume covers a job description's keywords. They are not scores produced by Greenhouse, Workday or any employer, and we do not promise any particular result, interview or job offer.

Plans and Payment

The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are not yet available for purchase. When they are, the price and what each plan includes will be shown before you pay, payments will be processed by Stripe, and you will be able to cancel at any time, with access continuing until the end of the period you have paid for.

Acceptable Use

Don't misuse the service. In particular, don't attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems, interfere with the service or work around its usage limits, submit content designed to manipulate the AI models, use Relay to create false or misleading applications, or resell the service without our permission.

Availability and Changes

We are actively developing Relay. Features and limits can change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature you rely on when we can.

Ending Your Use

You can stop using Relay at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@relayresume.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

Disclaimers and Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties that are not stated in these terms, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you have not paid us anything. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to These Terms

We will update this page when these terms change and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects your use of Relay, we will tell you by email or with a notice in the app before it takes effect.
